My DD also got constipated when first started solids. I think its their body getting used to the solids, trying to digest something different. She is fine now though! I try to get my DD to drink alot of water whie feeding her. I think this has helped. My DD eats a fair bit I think. She has a weetbix for breaky and a piece of toast with vegemite. She has veges for lunch then some fruit. For dinner she has veges, pasta, meat, chicken etc (Mashed up and differnet combos). Then some fruit for dessert and a arrowroot biscuit to munch on. She eats anything I make her. Have been pretty lucky so far. SHe has 4 breastfeeds a day also. She has probably 3-4 tablespoons of veg and the same amount of fruit at each meal. I know that each bub is different, so I would go off his cues. Feed him till he turns his head away!
